Questions About Brainspotting Intensives

For Therapists & Healthcare Providers

You tried it all, different interventions, consultation, reading articles, attending trainings, and it still feels like no matter what it, you’re stuck in a cycle with a client and they aren’t able to make progress. Or maybe you don’t work with trauma, but you love helping your client through other aspects they’re struggling with. You can see the finish line and know that it’s within reach if only you could help them get there.

You work hard, enjoy the clients you work with, and you just can’t seem to get unstuck with some of them.

You want to do right by your clients and you’re unsure of how to do that while continuing to support them. Brainspotting Intensives help address issues at the root in a more accelerated format so your client is able to work through their stuck points, and you can continue working with them.

I have worked with clients for years who seem to be stuck in a circular mindset or situation and once they did Brainspotting, it dramatically transformed their perspective allowing them to work towards their goals with more clarity and conviction. It deepened our work because we were able to unearth what was holding them back, process that, and shift focus to other goals that were put on pause because they were stuck.

FAQ’s About Brainspotting Intensives as an Adjunct Service

  • Brainspotting is a form of therapy that helps our bodies and minds heal themselves through eye positioning. Brainspotting helps target trauma at the root but is also useful for a wide variety of other issues as well. It is a powerful way to do deeper work.

  • A Brainspotting Intensive is a multi hour long therapy session to accelerate healing through deep, somatic processing. A Brainspotting Intensive starts with a consult call to determine if it would be a good fit for the client. Next, there is a 90 minute Pre-Intensive session where we will complete an intake, do a deep dive into the client’s history and goals. Then, on Intensive day, depending on which package was selected, there will be at least 4 hours of Brainspotting, some talk therapy, and incorporated breaks. Afterwards, about 3 weeks later, there will be a Post-Intensive session to follow-up and how the Intensive was, discuss changes that the client has noticed, answer any questions, and determine any next steps. • Yes! Brainspotting Intensives are meant to be an adjunct service for clients who need to break through a stuck point to be able to continue and deepen their work with you. Brainspotting Intensives are meant to be brief but deep work over 3-4 sessions.

  • This referral would allow your client to work through any traumas which is great for therapists who do not specialize in trauma. It is also helpful for clients who are stuck in the work and need something different to help them work through a stuck point with an alternative method. Once your client completes the intensive, they would be able to return to session with you with new perspectives, processed trauma, and a more regulated nervous system, which will help them do deeper work with you and focus on other goals that their stuck points may have been holding them back from.
