Most journals for Muslims that I have seen are Ramadan based, focusing on tracking habits, or gratitude journals. All of these are great, but there is a gap in materials that encourages Muslims to reflect deeply to create tangible change or solve underlying issues; especially from an Islamic perspective. This guided journal addresses self-care through spiritual care.
Disclaimer
This journal is intended to be used solely as a guide for self-reflection. While this journal was created by a mental health therapist, it does not provide therapeutic or medical advice. It is also not meant to be used in place of therapy, however it can be a great addition to therapy. Purchasing, reading, or completing this journal does not constitute a therapeutic relationship. It is important to note that there are many nuances in life that cannot be covered in this journal and each individual’s circumstances differ. I would like to emphasize that in some cases (i.e. abuse, neglect, etc.) some of the concepts in this journal may apply differently. Allah is Al-’Adl (The Just) and Al-Wadud (The Most Loving) He does not want you to brush it under the run and suffer in silence to make others content. For additional support, and more complex situations, please consider seeking mental health services.
